INK SUPPLY PROBLEMS (MAIN BOARD SHOWS “6”)

The number 6 on the motherboard indicates that one of the secondary ink tanks is empty, each secondary tank has a flow sensor that sends the necessary signal to activate the ink circulation in the system. When one of the tanks calls for ink and the ink does not reach the tank, it is very likely that the ink pump is damaged and therefore it is not possible to transport the ink from the primary tanks to the secondary tanks.

Checking steps to change an ink pump:

1. Check that the primary tank has an enough amount of ink, if not enough add ink.

2. Press the INK RESET button located on the operation panel of the machine, in order to check the line and verify the operation by touching the corresponding ink pump, if the ink pump does not react, replace it with a new one.

3. Check if the ink filters are blocked, unscrew the bottom connector, press the INK RESET button to see if there is ink overflow, otherwise replace the pump.
