Issue with the chiller´s alarm, Test the alarm cable / Daniel

INTRODUCTION

When there is a connection problem between the chiller alarm and the machine, the machine cuts but without power to the tube since the high voltage source is disabled.

In the chiller the flow alarm and output ports In order to guarantee the equipment will not be damaged while cooling water circulation is out of control, CW-5000/5200series chillers possesses an unique low flow alarm protection.

1.   Flow alarm output ports and the wiring diagram

2. Flow alarm causes of circulating cooling water and working state

Note: The flow alarm is connected to the normally open relay and normally closed relay contacts, requiring operating current less than 5A, working voltage less
than 300V

DEVELOPMENT

To check if the cable connecting the chiller to the machine is not damaged:

 1. With the help of a screwdriver remove the 3 screws of the 3-pin connector and check that the two  wires are not soldered internally

2. Check that the cable is not open by measuring continuity with a multimeter between the  3-pin connector and the two cables in the connector that connects to the source

CONCLUSION

It is important to check the connection of the chilller alarm cable because if it is faulty, the source is deactivated and  it  does not generate the cut in the machine
