POINT-TO-POINT CONNECTION THROUGH A NETWORK UTP CABLE WITH RJ45 CONNECTOR
To make the connection of our CO2 Cutting and Engraving Equipment that has a Ruida controller board through the Ethernet connection, we will need an Ethernet Network cable with an RJ45 connector, follow these steps:
STEP 1
Connect one end of the UTP cable (Ethernet cable) to the Ruida card in the Ethernet connection and the other end to the RJ45 port.
STEP 2.
Enter the configuration of the controller board on the operation panel and set the IP Address: 192.168.1.100
STEP 3. Change the Ethernet connection parameters to Static IP
To change the IP, do the following procedure:
1. Go to control panel / Network and Internet / Network and Sharing Center/ configure the connection for local connection, then press right click and then select properties
2. Set the following values in (TCP / IPv4)
IP address: 192.168.1.5
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.100
And finish with Ok
STEP 4
Once the Static IP address is configured, we proceed to ping the address of the machine to see if there is a reply, open the DOS console by pressing start key + R on the keyboard and type "cmd"
And type ping 192.168.1.100 and press enter key
STEP 5
Once the pinging has a reply, the configuration is started in the RDWorks program, in the process control bar, click on Setting, then Add and select Web Port and type the IP address: 192.168.1.100 and then click on test, the Ruida board should appear in the box and finish by clicking OK
Once the configuration of the board is finished, you will have communication between the software and the CO2 engraving and cutting equipment.
Note: the same connection can be made by connecting the UTP cable to a network socket and not directly to the computer, but the IP address and the gateway must be configured with the same addressing of the LAN network
