Reflective Mirror Bracket Adjusment Screw Damage / Daniel - Ing Henry
INTRODUCTION
The Reflective Mirror Bracket allows the adjustable part of the reflective mirror, aided
by a mechanical system that includes 3 screws with millimeter thread, which can
enter and exit depending on the need to adjust the angle of reflection, and
locate it at the exact point, two adjustment screws with spring included to
give the stability of the adjustable part. The calibration process includes
movement of the screw to locate them at midpoints, and offer a freely
controlled entry and exit movement to locate the exact calibration point.
DEVELOPMENT
ADJUSTMENT SCREW MILLIMETRIC THREAD DAMAGE.
• The number 2 millimetric thread screw is too tight,
therefore it does not give the bracket space to be adjustable
• Screw number 3 is in the middle position
• The number 1 screw
has worn the bracket thread because the number 2 screw is not adjustable and
the spring screws are too tight
SOLUTION
• Once the faulty threads are found, the complete part must
be changed
• Perform the calibration again
CONCLUSIONS
- Proper calibration management extends the life of all
your peripherals
- Do not insert the screws to their maximum limit
- Excessive screw force causes aluminum thread to break
down
- The mid-position location of all screws facilitates
calibration and avoids possible damage to the threads of the bracket (aluminum)
