DAILY MAINTENANCE OF THE PRINT HEAD / Stefhany

DAILY MAINTENANCE OF THE PRINT HEAD

1. Daily purge and clean the heads with antistatic cloths, then print a “CHECK” and check the state of the head, if you find empty spaces, you must purge and clean again until you get a good “CHECK” before printing. Carry out this process daily so the machine is not going to be used, it is vitally important to preserve the useful life of the print head.

2. To print a single color image, it is recommended to add color bars when printing, to ensure that all colors are inked and to avoid plugging caused by reflection from UV lamps when ink is not ejected for a long time.

3. It is necessary to remove dust and static electricity from printed materials (using an electrostatic bar, ion wind gun, or wipe with alcohol).

4. After placing the media on the platform, be sure to check the flatness of the media (pay attention to burrs on the media, etc.) to avoid scratching the print head.

HOW TO PROTECT THE PRINT HEAD DURING PERIODS OF INACTIVITY OF THE MACHINE?

When the machine does not work for more than 5 days, you need to clean the ink from the print head, the method is as follows:

  1. Turn off the emergency stop switch, turn off the computer, and turn off all circuit breakers.

  1. Close the ink valve switch.

  1. Unscrew the connector at the top end of the print head filter and use the syringe with Wiping Fluid to push the ink out of the print head. (Note: The pressure should not be too great, otherwise the pressure will damage the print head, see the ink droplets on the surface of the print head, until the Wiping fluid looks transparent.)

NOTE: FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE MAINTENANCE OF THE MACHINE, PLEASE READ THE MAINTENANCE MANUAL.
