Maintenance of print head / Stefhany

MAINTENANCE OF PRINT HEAD

  1. Daily maintenance

- Print the print head status test line before going to work every day to check whether the nozzle is blocked or not. If there is any, press the ink or exhaust the air immediately, and then print the print head status test line. If it is still blocked, you need to clean the print head.

- Clean the dust of the printing platform and the bottom of the print head base plate every day.

- For printing a single color image, it is recommended to add color bars when printing to ensure that all colors are inked to prevent plugging caused by reflection of UV lamps when ink is not ejected for a long time.

- It is necessary to remove dust and static electricity for printed materials (using an electrostatic bar, ion wind gun, or wipe it by alcohol).

- After the material is placed on the platform, be sure to check the flatness of the material (special attention to material burrs, etc.) to avoid scratching the print head.

  1. How to protect print head during blackout

In the event of a power outage and don’t know when power will back, you need to moisturize the surface of the print head, the method is as follows:

- Turn off the main power switch

- Push the carriage back to the X-axis origin

- Close the ink valve switch

- Take a KT board with the same size as the bottom plate of the print head, and wrap it around with plastic wrap

- Place a non-dust cloth on the surface and moisten the surface with a cleaning agent.

- Place the prepared moisturizing KT plate on the waste ink tank tray, and rotate the trolley lifting motor screw slowly so that the surface of the print head is in full contact with the clean cloth (do not press too tight, contact).

  1. How to protect the print head during the holiday

When the machine does not work for more than 5 days, you need to clear the ink in the print head and clean the print head, the method is as follows:

- Turn off the emergency stop switch, turn off the computer, and turn off all circuit switches.

- Close ink valve switch.

- Unscrew the connector at the upper end of the print head filter and use the syringe to empty the ink in the print head. (Note: The pressure should not be too large. See the ink droplets on the surface of the print head. Otherwise, the pressure will damage the print head).

- Use a syringe to draw cleaning liquid to rinse the print head until the liquid coming out of the print head surface is transparent.

- Keep some cleaning liquid in the print head then moisturize the surface of the print head. (see the previous section for the method).
